THE THE RULES

PLEASE RETURN ALL CUPS AND TROPHIES TO THE SHOW SECRETARY

ON THE MORNING OF THE SHOW

1. Entrants must be residents or growers of Elsworth, Knapwell, Boxworth or Conington

or attend Elsworth School or Pre-School, or visiting friends and relations.

2. Everything entered must be grown or made by the Exhibitor except flowers used in

floral arrangements.

3. Entries are FREE.

4. Exhibitors may make more than one entry in any one class, unless the class states

otherwise.

5. How to Enter – all entries to be brought to the Sports Club Pavilion on Sunday 8th

September between 8.00 am and 9.45 am. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER

9.45 AM

6. Each exhibitor must complete their own entry card to affix or put next to the exhibit.

Entry cards are available on the day or, alternatively, in advance from the Elsworth

Community Shop.

7. Exhibitors must provide own plates, vases, etc., as required. Please note that the

committee will not be responsible for any breakages or loss of such items.

8. Exhibits must not be removed before 4.00 pm on the day of the show. The Committee

will be very grateful for any exhibits left for the auction at 4.30 pm.

9. Each class may be judged 1st 2nd 3rd . Prizes awarded: FIRST PLACE £2.00 SECOND

PLACE £1.00 THIRD PLACE 50p. Please present your prize card to the show secretary

by 4.30pm of the day of the show to collect your prize money. Prize money not

collected on the day will be considered a donation to the next year’s show. No prize

money will be given after the show closes.

10. Where entries are less than four in any one class, the awarding of more than one prize

will be at the judge’s discretion.

11. In the case of dispute, the Committee’s decision will be final

12. Cups and Trophies are awarded on the understanding that they are returned to the

Show each year
